Government Access Channel 16 is a livestreaming and archived record of what happens at City meetings. You can watch some City meetings live on Channel 16. See the livestreaming schedule here. There is also an archive of past and recorded City meetings. Channel 16 is a great resource for staying up to date on what City Council, various local officials, committees, boards, commissions, agencies and entities are proposing and deciding.
Members of the Indianapolis-Marion County City-County Council work with the mayor of Indianapolis to make laws, approve the annual City-County budget, levy taxes, distribute funds for City-County operations, recognize individuals and groups for their contributions to their communities, and serve on boards and commissions.
Councilors serve a four-year term.

City Council Agendas (released the Friday before meeting)
Our mayor is our city and county chief executive, and oversees city-county government’s various departments, agencies, and municipal corporations. The mayor proposes the city budget, signs legislation into law (can veto or approve City Council bills), appoints departmental directors, oversees day-to-day operations, and represents the city on state, national, and international levels.
Mayors serve a four-year term.

Criminal Justice Reform Task Force
The Indiana General Assembly is made up of two chambers: The State Senate and the House of Representatives.
The State Senate and House of Representatives work alongside the governor of Indiana to create laws and establish a state budget. They pass bills on public policy matters, set levels for state spending, raise and lower taxes, and vote to uphold or override the governor’s vetoes.
